London, A peaceful anti-war demonstration turned into a scene of chaos and violence on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, as a knife-wielding attacker slashed a man’s abdomen in full view of protesters and police.

The incident occurred during the "Hands Off Iran" march near Downing Street, as tensions over the escalating conflict in the Middle East boiled over into the streets of the capital.

The victim, identified as Mohammed Reza, a father of two, was participating in the anti-war rally when he was suddenly confronted.

Eyewitnesses describe a terrifying scene where a man, allegedly from a pro-monarchist counter-protest, drew a blade and slashed Reza across the belly.

Kind of weird how that works. A slash looks so much worse than a stab but you're less likely to die and it's vice versa with a stab
