Re: Kick to the Head Exposes Skull
When I was locked up there was a fight where a similar injury occurred. Since it wasn't witnessed by the guards, the guy it happened to tried to make up some excuse for how he got hurt so he wouldn't get in trouble for fighting. Something about slipping and falling and hitting his head on a toilet. Was a brutal fight, not a shin but knee to the forehead. Amazing what we can do to each other.

Re: Kick to the Head Exposes Skull
[QUOTE=Pigeon;543012]Ow! What a nasty kick! Are kicks to the head allowed? Kicks and knes to the head are allowed only if a fighter is on his feet. A fighter can not receive blows to the head by kicks when down, just punches and elbows. There has never been a serious injury in the UFC and it is much safer then boxing where fatality's are quite common. |

Re: Kick to the Head Exposes Skull
Soccer kicks to the head were once allowed in the U.S. in the early 90s but quickly became banned due to the fighters safety. In Japan these rules do not apply and the fighter is free to do anything! This type of fighting can be very dangerous and is considered a bloodsport, just two animals locked up in a cage, fighting till some one gets hurt.
