A keloids (or keloid scars) are a firm overgrowth of granulation (scar) tissue. Keloid tissue can cause pain and itchiness but they're benign, non contagious and can be difficult to treat, as trauma to keloid or healthy skin can generate more keloid growth.

They're fairly common, mostly occurring from acne, shaving, and at piercing and post surgical sites, but are 15x more common in those of African decent.

Picture 10: When this tribal scarification is done they use ash or sap or some other mixture that's immediately rubbed onto the cuts to ensure they scar correctly. I don't know if this is from the same people but there is one tribe that does this to make their skin look like the crocodiles that they revere.

The last one, best guess because of the purple shirt and shape, is a fraternity symbol (omega psi phi?). But I'm not sure.

Wow another thing I've never seen before or been able to put a name for the condition. The 1st few look a massive burden to them but a few are very artistic
