As for what happened -- Jesse called in to TMZ Live moments ago, explaining he was working a machine at his shop in Texas ... and had a little accident.

The guy may be a bit of a dick but I have respect for his metal skills, he's very lucky it was only the pinky. When one becomes complacent around industrial machinery shit like this happens, I'm sure his safety state of mind has risen 10 fold now.
I'm a retired autobody repair/paint tech and have always ben a super safety consious guy. I've ben deeply cut, battered and had more eye injurys than I can count, It just comes with the territory.
