Jacqueline Durand Dog Attack: Facial Injuries in Coppell, Texas, Dec. 23, 2021
Jacqueline Claire Durand, 21, was mauled by two dogs while caring for them at their owners' home in Coppell, Texas, on December 23, 2021, the day before her 22nd birthday. The dogs tore off her ears, nose, lips and cheeks, leaving her without most of her face below the eyes. She suffered more than 800 bites and lost about 30% of her blood. Durand was resuscitated several times, spent a week in an induced coma and underwent seven hours of emergency surgery. She later received skin grafts and multiple reconstructive operations. The dogs were Lucy, a German shepherd mix, and Bender, a boxer and pit bull mix. A Coppell municipal judge ordered both dogs euthanized in January 2022, but Durand's attorneys appealed so they could inspect the animals first. Her attorneys filed a negligence lawsuit in Dallas County on January 25, 2022, seeking more than $1 million. |

Never try befriending a chimpanzee. They can be even more unpredictable and volatile than us humans. Documenting Chimp Reality would probably be even gorier a site than this one I'll never forget the Louis Theroux documentary about America's exotic pet trade and his encounter with a crazy ass chimpanzee that literally smashed a window into pieces. I've never seen Theroux so petrified. His eyes basically welled up with terror. |

Yeah, I think a chimpanzee attack on a pretty, white girl from the West would have been highly unusual and all over the news. Dog attack likely. In their own society/troupe, chimpanzees are actually likely to be much more violent and murderous than gorillas; one more thing that makes them closer to Man than any other species on this planet.

There was a story about a woman who kept a chimpanzee as a pet and it literally ripped her friends face off. You can still find links to her story. Charla Nash was the woman’s name. There’s lot of articles about her on DR..
