Intestinal Ischemia
Intestinal ischemia is a pathological process that develops as a result of impaired patency of the intestinal arteries, which inevitably leads to the formation of necrotic [dead] areas. Popularly, this disease is often called “angina pectoris”, by analogy with cardiac ischemia [angina pectoris].
