She had requested the french government for the right to commit suicide and they refused. Got a hold of phenobarbital and was able to finally end it..rare cancer and horribly painful RIP!!!!

The cancer didn't kill her, because she killed herself, first. She had gone to court to get permission to get help suiciding, but was denied. Someone gave her the drugs, though . . .

You know what gets me? Someone else mentioned this too. I would be animal CRUELTY to allow an ANIMAL to endure this anguish. You'd be fined and maybe even thrown in court for refusing to "Humanely destroy" a cancer-ridden suffering COW (that we're gonna kill and eat anyway, for that matter!), horse, dog, etc.....Yet, we let our people suffer, who want to desperately control their own destiny. Robbed of what even animals are allowed, a merciful end. Yet, we can legally pull feeding tubes and respirators out of brain damaged people that will KILL THEM, and not too swiftly or comfortably, I might add!  |

Oh yes, that was very sad ): She becked the president, that she could get help to kill herself ( I don't remember the right word. ) Even her children understood that she wanted to die, and they wanted her wish to be granted, or something.
