They maggots were put there to eat away the dead flesh and are now being removed. Looks like a really bad bedsore, very painful.

How on earth will that ever heal? Would skin graphs help if they could keep infection away? I can't imagine the pain.

She has a stage IV pressure ulcer and osteomyelitis. The maggots do a great service in that they only eat dead tissue and help clean the wound. These wounds will heal withe pressure relief and good nutrition.

Omg that has to be hella painful! Hopefully they have good drugs there too! I needed pain meds just to watch that. Is this from not being moved or being in one position too long?
