gore a sarus is right on all counts. I have ink and have never got an infection. Key to this is just as some of the other members have said. pick a good shop, make sure they use new needles, do the after care as instructed and you will be fine. And guys please remember ink is or at least should be a very personel and unique thing about a person. think it through and get a design that only you have and that means something to you. in the 90's every middle class male in the U.S. seemed to think he had to have the tazmainian devil tatooed on them. And dont even get me started on the 30 to 40 something housewife's who wanted to be just like the college girl next store and all ran out to get tramp stamps. |

Ouch and yuck! Out of all of mine the only one I ever had that even remotely looked nasty was the butterfly on my ankle...turned out I was allergic to the purple ink and wherever the purple was it bubbled up and got huge thick scabs. It did retain some color but there are places it was completely pulled out and need recovered. |
