Indonesia - Little Girl with Retinoblastoma
Rahmelia Alyssa Azzahra was born on 6th December 2018 in Brudu Village, Indonesia. The little girl's eyes seemed normal at birth, but within a week, one eye appeared white. Although surgery was needed, it was not a viable option for her parents. With her father a construction worker + her mother working in sales, they just didn't have the means to pay. Rahmelia undergoes chemotherapy every month. Her father said:

Dammit, I thought there were before and after surgery. That poor kid and poor family. So many of us healthy and don't even want kids, while so many of those that do....... That's rough. |

FFS taking an eyeball out isn’t rocket science they could have afforded it no matter how poor they are… Now the girl needs a huge reconstructive effort to rebuild an entire side of her face that’s been obliterated by the unchecked tumor growth.

They’re trying to raise 50000000 Indonesian Rupiah which is under $3500, even at this late stage where the tumor has eaten away half of her face… Imagine how little it would’ve cost to remove the affected eyeball when they should’ve done so… The parents are child abusers IMHO (medical neglect IS child abuse.)
