SRI GANGANAGAR, (October 25, 2024) — A 25-year-old Prem faced overwhelming challenges. His mother was in need of urgent medical treatment, which required significant funds. As the family’s main provider, Prem was determined to find work to cover her treatment costs. However, despite his efforts, he repeatedly failed to secure a job, facing rejection after rejection. This situation left him feeling defeated and desperate, as he struggled with the responsibility of providing for his family.

With each failed attempt to find employment, Prem’s frustrations grew. The financial crisis deepened, and the mounting medical expenses for his mother intensified the weight on his shoulders. Despite his willingness to work, the lack of opportunities led to a growing sense of helplessness, causing him to feel trapped by his circumstances. The emotional toll of this situation became increasingly difficult to bear as Prem found himself unable to fulfill his family obligations.

The mental strain eventually pushed Prem to a breaking point. Feeling as though he had exhausted all options, he decided to take his own life. In a final act of despair, Prem climbed to the top of a 65-foot-high water tank with the intent of ending his suffering.

However, his attempt was unsuccessful, and he survived the fall.
