A mother of teenagers I was talking with in the ER late one night gave me a perspective I never thought of.

Some parents have to work to support their children, especially if the fathers don't contribute, or are dead.

There was a crime on the tv and she said she knows her boys weren't angels. She just hopes they don't go down the crime path.

I try to teach my great nieces and great nephew that. The oldest niece laughs. I tried explaining that, no matter how clean you are, you don't know what the people in front of you did. Some public restrooms aren't fit for humans! EEK!

I asked my great nephew, who is 3 1/2, if he would like to touch his face after coming from the playground and get someone's else's poop or pee in his mouth. He made a face, but, they need to see more adults doing it at home.

They call me a germ freak, but, I try to control where I get my germs as much as humanly possible.

Germs are stronger and resilient to antibiotics and people are so much nastier these days.

Yes, and that's exactly why I homeschool now. The schools couldn't deal with my son's autism, and he completely shut down. Turns out, he was being bullied by staff members. But, both my kids are doing awesome, since we started homeschooling last year. Even the curriculum they are doing now is a lot better than the crap they teach in the schools here.
