I call costume makeup on the scissor one.

I do a lot of cosmetic stuff and that's exactly how fake impalement would be done: There's the bump where the "scissors" are attached, which would be theatrical wax, the blood around it has a sponge-like finish and there's just... Too little blood. Not to mention it's straight down, so the blades would be in the brain and the guy is obviously not even in a hospital.

That's funny because that was the one that made me cringe!

Haha, well once you've done special effects with cosmetics, you will always look at things with "Hmm... How could I do this with cosmetics?".
