I do a lot of cosmetic stuff and that's exactly how fake impalement would be done: There's the bump where the "scissors" are attached, which would be theatrical wax, the blood around it has a sponge-like finish and there's just... Too little blood. Not to mention it's straight down, so the blades would be in the brain and the guy is obviously not even in a hospital.

The one with the stake going through the lady's mouth is probably from one of my favorite movies! The Cannibal Holocaust, Great movie from the 80's Apparently that Part of the movie made alot of people believe that they actually killed the actors, Good fucking shit Love that movie! great post!
