Re: I Had 'Acute Cardiac Episode' Yesterday

Ugh, scary. I hope you're feeling better!

I had an episode a few years ago at work when I was discussing a project and collapsed briefly onto a desk. Never happened before and hasn't happened since. My heart was having high palpitations, it felt like someone had suddenly squeezed their first around my heart and I recall losing the ability to hold my body upright.

After ECG, BP, blood sugar, and holtor monitor results they explained it away as a one off fainting spell. It freaked me the fuck out because I'm not a fainter, and I was relatively calm when it happened.

Re: I Had 'Acute Cardiac Episode' Yesterday

You are much to important Shaz to just roll over and die mate, sounds very scary,I've had an arrhythmia before and my heart was jumping all over the place,it was the strangest thing I've ever felt, thankfully it was a 1 off.

Stay safe mate, thinking of you and yours from the right side of the river
Did you have horrific crushing and struggled to breathe too? It was beyond scary yet as I was kind of getting fuzzy headed I felt like I was floating momentarily. Probably the diazepam and adrenaline!

I hope you are well now and thank you so much for your kind words. Means a lot.

Re: I Had 'Acute Cardiac Episode' Yesterday

Hey Sharon,

I'll be praying for your quick recovery.

I am also worried to death about my hubby; as he'll be having open heart surgery in September.
Thanks Sybil and wow likewise I'll keep your husband in my thoughts. My dad had open heart surgery and gave him an incredible new lease of life. Have faith xx

Goodness that seems to be a wee bit more than a simple faint. Especially if your blood sugar and bp okay. Weird isn't it!

Palpitations feel exactly like that yes!! You're being squeezed from the inside. I'm still aware of the beat and it's getting annoying now so I'm using lavender and relaxation... watching endless horror movies

Hope you're ok x

Nothing like you experienced mate, mine was a side effect from a prescribed medication, heart started to jump around erratically and pins and needles in both hands.

Didn't take again for a week and the very next time I took meds had the same problem.

Needless to say,I don't touch those meds anymore, best wishes with everything Shaz
