Re: I Cooked My Hand.

you will get a infection within 30 -60 days. After the skin outside starts to heal the body will attack the scar tissue under the skin . Happened to me and it was painful as hell good luck

Re: I Cooked My Hand.

Holy crap. Still looks painful. I know you said it isn't that bad. But geez. Oh and Fido is absolutely gorgeous. Very pleased you are on the mend. If there's a next time, don't wait so bloody long to go and see a doc!!!
Don't worry there will be a next time, always is.

Re: I Cooked My Hand.

I did a hell of a lot more than the tip so I guess I'm in for some real fun. invertigo is that really you in your avatar? If so lose the beard, mustache, and, fake eyebrows and you could be a beautiful woman. How is your finger now after years?
Thanks, guys

As for my finger... It was kind of ironic actually. It was a slanted cut and took 3/4 of the nail bed with it. I sliced it off at work (commercial kitchen), so my boss packed it in ice. But instead of reattaching it (which was the doctors original plan) the ER nurse accidentally rinsed it down the drain when she went to strain the ice out

I got lucky. It healed up really well, and most people can't tell the difference just by looking (but I've never regained full sensation in that finger)

Re: I Cooked My Hand.

Well all, here are some updated pictures of my hand. It is still numb on the surface and tender underneath. It also cuts very easy, if it hit anything it starts bleeding.

That wasn't very nice of the nurse to send your finger tip down the drain. Glad it has turned out OK for you.
