Re: How is This Poor Bastard Still Alive
Okay for everyone who believes this man died, well your wrong im glad to say. His name is Officer Jason Schechlerte and he was hit from behind in his patrol car by a taxi cab. He was stuck in his car for 8 very long minutes, and they said what saved him was his bullet proof vest protecting most of his upper body from burning to badly. He was in a coma for 3 months and after 2&1/2 years after the accident happened the police dept. released him for duty. He is a Detective in Pheonix and does around 75 speaking engagements a year. His wife has stayed and helped him through his recovery and they have 3 children together.

I really feel bad for the paramedics, everyone expects them to try and prolong life as much as possible, even when you see someone like this who is probably better off dead at that point in time. Good to see he recovered so bloody well though! |

No man. I don't think you are right. That ain't Officer Jason Schechlerte. For one, he got fried in 1991- those pics are too new to be from 1991.

Re: How is This Poor Bastard Still Alive
This injury almost exactly mimics the burn my FIL's best friend got when he had a static spark while working on his Harley. He lived for about 8 hours after that, but I don't even know why they tried. That burned around the face is going to indicate severe burning of the trachea and bronchial branches. So very, very sad.
