According to information, a man passing by the place came across the lady, who was homeless and had a head injury infested by larvae. The man recorded a video showing the woman's situation and claimed that he had already called Samu (the emergency medical service) and the fire department, but no vehicle showed up to help the lady.

Only after the video was released on the internet and after the negative repercussions, did the City Hall of Belém decide to send two ambulances to help the homeless woman.
