Homeless Mans Foot
This is a 42 year old male with a history of diabetes. The patient is homeless and was picked up by the Los Angeles Fire Dept. The patient had a cast placed over one year prior and never went back in for follow up. He stated he recently started feeling an odd sensation in his foot. After the cast was removed maggots were sure enough found to be eating away at his foot.

I don’t even want to think about the smell. Anyone who has ever had a cast knows it starts to smell funky after a week or two. He had it on for 52.  |
