Rebels; its a phase, theyll grow out of it. One day theyll look back on this and laugh at being such utter nobheads. I am not disrespecting anyone on here who does this stuff, I have a friend who did it for years, thankfully shes fine now. Im always surprised that I never ended up being a cutter, because of shit that happened to me as a kid, but everyone has different coping mechanisms obviously. These kids though, hmmmm, can you say "stereotypical"?

Re: Home Made Stitches on Arm

Speaking as an ex-cutter, I encourage you to seek help for whatever it is that's causing you to feel the need to self-harm.

I must say I don't understand showing off the cuts, I used to go to great lengths to hide mine. To each their own I guess

Thats why I made the comment I made about this hun; its the exhibitionism bit I find a bit suspect. Although exhibitionism itself is classed as one of the "paraphilias", so...........Im glad that you healed, on a physical and hopefully psychological level too.

Re: Home Made Stitches on Arm

To love someone else, you must first love yourself. You clearly do not love yourself, therefore that poor man is not your "boyfriend."
Co-dependence. Feed off each others negativity like a drug.

Re: Home Made Stitches on Arm

Actually, what with the mutual trust and respect and deep admiration for each other, the love, the teamwork we put into this whole "life" business, the living together and having sex, I'm pretty sure that "poor man" is, in fact, my boyfriend.
Like I said, classic case of co-dependency. You know exactly what I mean.

We're both wholly functional people without each other. I'm a grown woman. He's a grown man. Personally, I don't think cutting is a phase I'm going through. And I'm not an exhibitionist. It just never seemed appropriate to be ashamed for doing this. I'm an open book. Makes life less stressful to not hide. Thanks for checking out the thread, guys. Like I said before, glad to contribute
