That WAS Malarchuk, when a skate blade slashed his throat open, I googled it and found it took 900 stitches to close, and if it weren't for a retired medic who reached in and pinched off the severed jugular, he would have died. Dr's began suturing him right there, and on the way to the hospital according to wiki!

the third one is richard zednick of the florida panthers. the incident took place during the 2006-2007 season, he was cut by his team mate while he was standing up believe it or not. just google his name for full video.

The third one was Richard Zednik, a skate severed his carotid artery, Clint Malarchuck (1st one) severed his jugular. Here's a picture of Zednik after he healed up:  |
