HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system's white blood cells. AIDS is the most advanced stage of HIV infection. As immunity declines, skin and mouth conditions become more common. Antiretroviral therapy allows immunity to recover and enables people with HIV to live long, healthy lives, although there is no cure.

Associated conditions include Kaposi sarcoma and oral thrush. Thick crusting, chronic ulcers and severe drug-reaction rashes can also occur, but not every skin or mouth condition indicates AIDS. Kaposi sarcoma, herpes simplex ulcers lasting more than a month and candidiasis of the esophagus are AIDS-defining illnesses. Oral thrush alone is not.

i remember once at work an employee said if she ever got AIDS she would fuck everyone she could because if she was gonna die she wanted to take out as many as she could along with her. very shallow and immature thinking at most.

Many of the skin blotches you see are a result of Kaposi's sarcoma. The build-up in the mouth is known as Candidiasis (Thrush) which is a by-product of a weakened immune system.
