That was tough to watch! I wonder why he felt the need to operate on himself in the field. Was the injury life threatening? Causing him too much discomfort?? or in risk of preventing him from completing his journey??? Seems like the risk of infection, tearing the stitches, and other complications would be more of a risk that leaving it alone. Dude is hardcore either way! |

i guess the next time i'm stuck in a snowy mountainous area i'll grab my trusty scalpel that i always carry with me, and operate on myself since I'm incapable of calling 911, or don't feel like waiting for help to arrive. nice show and tell though |
