Help Me Again, DR...[severe Stomach Pain]
I am so sorry for spamming this damn forum again but this is the only site that actually helps me when I'm not able to just get to a doctor or a dentist or whatever. I posted on another site, so I'll copy and paste it from there- they literally help me none other than saying 'go to a doctor' usually so that's what's up with the first post. I swear to God I will find something to post here that you guys actually like and is the reason people come here, to make up for all my bullshit spamming. I've got enough weird diseases maybe I'll bend my wrist back or something. Maybe there should be a 'medical questions' forum on DR or something... anyway, pasted from another site: Okay so don't tell me to go to the doctor, it's Christmas Eve, it's not happening. I can't even call in until Monday, and I'm not even sure if I'll get in then. I'll try to but I'm not sure what'll happen. But I don't really know what to do for right now. Yes, I will probably go to the doctor. But 'go to the doctor' does not help me right now. There's a good chance I can't go to the E.R either. Anyway my stomach has been bothering me. It started off and on a week ago. I can eat certain things and it will be fine but I will eat something random and it'll go off. Like just now I took a sleeping pill and it started hurting really bad. Almost like heart burn but lower and it causes nausea. I ate ham and two rolls today and it made my stomach hurt really bad and then I got really tired like I couldn't clean up or vacuum without having to sit down. A few days before that I ate a burger plain with mustard and it started hurting really bad then and I thought I was going to get diarrhea so I took a antidiarrheal and then it never happened but it was that kind of pain. Sometimes I just burp a lot after this happens too. It kind of started I think after I went back to normal eating regular foods after having my tooth out and eating soft stuff for a couple of days. Then I started drinking soda and at first I thought my stomach just needed to get used to the soda again but it doesn't seem to matter if I don't drink soda, it still bothers me. I also have had diarrhea off and on for like two years now. It was getting better but it still acts up and happens from time to time and now it happens differently. Like I would mostly get it after eating sweets before bed, and then it would be terrible in the morning. But sometimes I just get it randomly during the day, and for a while it stopped while I took meds that caused constipation but I went off those. I have a fear of colon cancer but idk. Anyway I've taken pepto, antidiarrheal, tums, and all that jazz but it still doesn't go away completely... |

Re: Help Me Again, DR...[severe Stomach Pain]
I'm not sure what anyone here can do for you. Being sick sucks and can be very frightening. What you are describing could be lots of things from an ulcer to who knows what. Are you alone? Is there someone who can help calm your fears? I know that when I'm alone with my thoughts I always think the worst and that makes everything harder. I hate to say it but stress, anxiety and the like can also produce these same symptoms. Have you ever been treated for mental health issues? If not, please look into it. Whether caused by a physical ailment or a psychological one the symptoms and pains are just as real. |

Pancreatic cancer presents itself as digestive problems, too. Eating fats/meats messes you up because the pancreas is malfunctioning. Hopefully it's just an ulcer or IBS, but you need to get to a doctor ASAP. It could possibly be something deadly. I had a friend that had digestive issues for about a year before she went in to have it looked at. She was in the end stages of pancreatic cancer. She died about two months later. |

That's what I'd refer to as the Pepto-Abysmal..... You need to see a doctor. plain and simple. When I lost my appendix, was like I felt super constipated/felt gassy/gas type pain. Got sick of it and went to the E.R. 1 bottle of barium sulphate, a barium enema, a cat scan and 2 hours later... into surgery I went... But? I felt better afterwards and didn't end up with a gut full of pus and other nasty business. oh.. and I got to live to tell you all of this too. Seriously though? if it is that bad? |

Re: Help Me Again, DR...[severe Stomach Pain]
And you'd think they were wrong? A little help by some posts of the other members of DR would fix your problem automatically? Look at what mintycbo told you, he's right in every way you could imagine. No bullshit. Just haul your ass to ER, ASAP! The last thing I want to see would be one of our members ending up in the Death section, because like it or not, this can very easily be a life-threatening situation |

Try cutting gluten/wheat, and processed foods out of your diet. Stick to a strict healthy food lifestyle, veggies and non processed foods.

Re: Help Me Again, DR...[severe Stomach Pain]
I'm not exactly sure what you think the members of D.R. can do for you... I would NEVER even attempt to diagnose what's wrong or tell you what to do other than go to the ER... If you are in that much pain you need to go to the ER rather than get online and ask everyone for their opinions... I'm an ER/Flight Nurse and the ONLY thing anyone should tell you is to go to the ER... You have to let a Dr. examine you...run tests...take xrays...none of which we here @ D.R. can do... Now...if you have no way to the hospital either call a cab or call 911... What I honestly think is that you're doing this all for some attention because if you were actually in THAT much pain? You wouldn't be making excuses as to why you couldn't get to an ER... But like I said ( And I'm not intentionally trying to upset you ) but it is what it is... Call 911 and go to the hospital and let a Dr. check you out rather than sit online looking for answers that no one here can provide with ANY degree of certainty... Not to mention that if someone here DID try to diagnose and treat and you follow their advice and something goes wrong? The person who gave that advice could be held liable... |
