Looks to be possibly from a machete or similar striking weapon.

Dunno why but my gut's saying machete...I wonder if the picture was taken in an African country, machete usage in militias is pretty endemic to some areas

Had tyo be a machete...some of the wounds were grazings...but was definetly a machete.
