Pain meds can make you do weird stuff. :-) A couple of years ago I texted a friend from an emergency room: "Wow! Morphine, dilaudid, a pretty Indian girl sticking her finger up my butt--if it weren't for the emergency neck surgery, this would be the super-bestest day EVER!" :-) That seemed funny as heck to me at the time.

(And just for the record, I hated having the intern poke her finger up my butt but the text message was funnier that way.)

I took care of an elderly lady who had a similar issue, her arm had been broken & never healed properly so it dangled like that when the splint was off. She couldn't remember how it happened due to senility but she always looked scared to death.
