When my exhusband was a kid he and his siblings were riding in the back of a truck that had a camper shell thingie. His older brother was holding up the flap and decided to let it fall. Severing the ex's thumb. They sewed it back on, but it got gangrene so they had to cut it back off. He still has the knuckle, however. Which gave him one hell of an advantage when we played Mortal Kombat. He tells people he 'lost it in 'nam". He's 37. *insert rolling eyeball smiley here*

I accidentally dropped a marble ashtray onto my bare foot (while standing on a tiled floor) and it cut one of my toes off but, they were able to sew it back on. Its really not that big of a deal.
