Gunshot To Heart
The large through and through laceration of the right auricle was found during the ERT with the patient in extremis but with electrical activity on ECG. This patient was shot just outside the hospital in the Cape Flats (high crime area of Cape Town). No treatment could be done for this fatal wound.
