Re: Girl with Epilespy Seizing
Its actually not painful because you usually black out when you get them. I get seizures alot, because I have epilepsy and the only thing that it is, is stressful because your body goes through so much. I usually will pass out after a seizure. The scary thing is when people start spitting blood.

Re: Girl with Epilespy Seizing
My partner has had to deal with my seizures for the last 3 years, some were so violent, I felt so bad for him panicking over them. Sometimes they were so bad I could have three in a day. I now have a pacemaker and medication and around 95% of my fits have stopped. Found out that if I hadn't had the surgery, I would have experienced my first stroke (and possibly only one if you know what I mean) before I hit 30. Originally diagnosed as Epilepsy, now a far more dangerous but controlled cardiac condition (Mobitz II AV heart block combined with blood condition), could have cost me my life. Check it out with your GP or Hospital to be sure! Misdiagnosis happens too often. |

Re: Girl with Epilespy Seizing
i am an epileptic, i can usually tell when a seizure is going to happen. the symptoms are always the same: light headed, seeing in "tunnel" vision, getting really really hot. the last one i had i was in the kitchen making a sandwich (bring on the women jokes lol) and it happened. my bf found me sitting against the counter my head banging on it, and a butter knife in my hand. he did the right things listed above, but one thing you gotta remember, if theres alot of people around, make sure someone that that person knows is right by their side, because seeing alot of faces around them will start scaring them and freaking them out. :]
