Some cancers grow extremely fast -- I had to put my dog to sleep years ago from an adenocarcinoma -- he had the original golf ball-size lump removed but two months later it was spread throughout his chest again. He was only 9 lbs, didn't have any room to breathe or eat anymore. Cancer is an evil, remorseless entity. |

Same. For other DR readers, the omentum is the sheet of yellow fat right at the top, with the loops of small intestine below. This is supposed to drape in front of the entire abdominal cavity like a sheet. As for the situation in this pic... way beyond my anatomy knowledge, everything below the omentum seems grossly swollen beyond recognition. We are almost certainly seeing advanced bladder, rectal and/or ovarian cancers as well, I'd say most of that mess is either primary or secondary tumours and you'd have to take it all out to figure out which bit is which.
