Sucks..I've had 2 of those already.. I'm 32 now..
First one I had when I was 10 yrs old..was awkward to say the least ..was kinda scared/ashamed to say about it to doctor/parents.

Had the second when I was 23, occured from work..and walked/worked with it until I was 28..I used to joke about it with my Girlfriend..called myself - E.T. the extratesticle..

First surgery was laproscopic (small incision. minimal invasion)
My second was an open repair, oddly..the laproscopic was more painful/longer recovery. (or I just grew up and was able to deal with pain better)
My first one on left, didn't cause any pain, my Right (second hernia) was painful. caused pain up into my midsection/near my ribs,would double me over. my post op site from the second surgery is still sorta "numb" but hurts on occasion..was told it was adhesions...meh..whatever..just glad to get the billiard ball out of my sack. >_<

It's actually called an "Inguinal Hernia".
i had one on my right side for about 6 months before i could get the money to have doctors find out what it was, and then, i had to have it open right above my twig & berries, and they put this round, rubber plug in, and sewed it into the muscle, and then stapled the skin closed with six staples, just as i was starting college in 2010.

shit sucks. couldn't bend for shit for about two weeks.

They use Wire/plastic mesh here in the states for the repair..and yeh..no bending/stooping etc..hurts pretty darn good eh?
