The tubes stay in for so long otherwise the vagina would heal up like a wound. They have to regularly insert tubes at home also.

kool. i have a lot of respect for people that go through all the hell it takes to get that operation here in the US...and then to change your identity forever...even tattoos can be removed...but that cant be changed...lotsa respect

I've seen different gauges used for women with vags that tighten up during sex. Think the one here is just to keep it open following surgery.
