Notice they are all fat people? Get off your ass and circulate your blood. No excuse to let that happen to yourself.

Diabetic feet. "I'm a sicko" is right. Lose weight, stop drinking all those giant sodas and stop eating all the sweet stuff. Get out and go for a walk.

Doesn't look like they're all fat. Diabetes affects skinny folks too. Diet attributes to diabetes developing in people, but so does genetics. It hasn't skipped a generation in my family and we're not all fat.

Re: Gangerene & Necrosis on Limbs.
You have obviously never worked in a nursing home. "In type 2 diabetes, the body makes insulin, but doesn’t use it the right way. It is the most common kind of diabetes. You may have heard it called adult-onset diabetes. Your chance of getting type 2 diabetes is higher if you are overweight, inactive, or have a family history of diabetes. Diabetes can affect many parts of your body. It’s important to keep type 2 diabetes under control. Over time it can cause problems like heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, blindness, nerve damage, and circulation problems that may lead to amputation. People with type 2 diabetes have a greater risk for Alzheimer’s disease. " |
