Frustrated with System, Cotton Trader Attempts Suicide by Self Immolation
India, The apparent reason for the broker's desperation was a loss of money and no hearing of his complaint by the authorities. November 19, 2016: A 42-year-old cotton broker tried to immolate himself on Friday evening in a crowded marketplace, causing panic. He was said to be depressed with the system and the society. He was admitted to a local hospital in a critical condition with around 50 percent burns. According to the eyewitnesses and the local police, the trader named Ravindra Joshi, a cotton broker by profession, put petrol on himself suddenly at around 7 pm on Friday evening near the crowded Regal crossing in Indore and set himself on fire. The traffic constable on the spot and the local fireman tried to douse the fire. All this while, Ravindra Joshi was shouting slogans and crying with pain. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. His condition was stated to be very critical. |

Man, that guy must have been insane. I can't imagine burning like that. I had second degree sunburns on the backs of my legs and that was enough for me thanks. |
