Re: Frontal Sinus Fracture Management
I was supposed to have this done a few years ago. I have had 18 sinus surgeries. Google "frontal sinus obliteration". They make an incision on your scalp from ear to ear and pull your face down exposing your frontal sinuses. They then take off the bone from exposing the frontal sinus and use a drill to remove everything from that cavity. Then they fill that space with fat from another part of your body, like your abdomen or leg, so that nothing has room to grow there. They replace the bone and pull the "face/skin" back up into place and sew you up. I actually went into surgery expecting this but woke up pleased to find out they didn't have to do it afterall. |
