Fractured Foot and Ankle
This happened to me at work. I was driving an electric pallet jack, I fell off and my foot and ankle were crushed in between the front of the jack and a steel rack. The company clinic misdiagnosed my injury and caused me to get these blisters and severe untreated pain for over a week until I finally decided to go to the ER. Turns out it was fractured and needed to be in a splint from day 1. |

Re: Fractured Foot and Ankle
Apparently it happens when there is a break or fracture in the lower extremities. In order to avoid blisters it would have to be completely immobilized (splint) and elevated as much as possible. Another cause is severe soft tissue damage, which would show the same symptoms as in a burn victim. I have both a fracture and severe soft tissue damage. They actually got a lot worse a few days after this but unfortunately I don't have pictures online yet from right before they were ruptured . |
