Re: ~Fishing Disasters~

New ones! Thanks!
Funny how someone pointed out in a different thread: many people would pay to get this kind of piercings done.

Re: ~Fishing Disasters~

"They don't feel the pain of the hook." said all fishermen about their caught fishes.

So I guess this won't hurt either.

Re: ~Fishing Disasters~

Most of those, just cut the barb off and pull the bitch out! That's why you should never leave shore without some good bolt cutters! The ones in the eye though....I feel so sorry for the poor soul that did that to them on accident when casting! 'Hey man, sorry you only have one eye....we did catch some bigass fish though'

They don't feel the pain from the hook, they feel the pain from the wound caused by the hook, after they realize they were caught.

Re: ~Fishing Disasters~

Fly fishing is the ultimate water sport for me, but yeah, that little fly travels through the air at an incredible rate of speed. Some ppl just can't get the reflex right and end up whip-snapping the line. That's how the dude got the eye one.

EVERY First Aid but I've ever read tells you to cut the frigging barb, that should be common sense. Unfortunately, for the ones where the barb hasn't penetrated the skin through and through, it advises you to push the barb all the way through first....they'd have to knock me out cold, forget local anesthetic!
