Finger Lost
My last boss has a woodshop where he usually makes stands to hold records as a sid hustle. Here is his story verbatim - I built a store display cabinet for a friend’s shop, it was completely finished except for the last piece of trim, a small block that I was ripping on my table saw, the piece violently jerked and took my had down across the carbide saw blade, goodbye index finger and nearly took the middle finger, very traumatic accident in a fraction of a second !!! I should have used my push block and the blade could have been set lower too , I was complacent but here on out in my shop will be safety minded and more aware ! I’m fortunate and looking at all matters in life differently . Be Safety minded in the shop and respect the power tools always !!!  ·  ·  · |
