Fatal Homemade Tongue Piercing
In the city of Chelyabinsk in Russia’s Urals region a schoolgirl has died in an attempt to pierce her tongue at home. Propeller During the New Year vacation a 12-year-old schoolgirl decided to have her tongue pierced and her four friends agreed to assist. One of them had two ampoules of lidocaine to use as an anesthetic, which were then injected into the schoolgirls tongue. However the piercing was not to happen, as after just fifteen minutes the 12-year-old began to have a seizure. Paramedics found the 12-year-old on the staircase where the five had gathered to perform the fatal piercing, but were unable to save her.  · |

 lidocaine?! Where did school girls get ampules of that and do they seriously get numbed tongues when they do a piercing in Russia?? All I got was the clamps and a needle.......no numbing.  |

^ lol. just not your ears? - Anyways.. at home piercing of any type is close to retarded. Much less your tongue. I'm guessing this was more of a reaction to the lidocaine (why avoid the pain?) than to the piercing. You can bleed to death if you do a tongue piercing improperly, as well as sever nerves, leading to dead tissue. Yay! edit : also, a 12 year old? With a tongue piercing? This world is fucked. |

Had to be an allergic reaction to the lidocaine. Didn't know they numbed it either. All my piercings were done with forceps and needles. And she was way to young to be getting it done anyways. Just a shame they were stupid and too immature and someone had to pay the price.  |
