People post shit like this to try to elicit intense emotional responses out of people to sway them against abortion when the fact is that if a woman wants to terminate her pregnancy, she will, whether it means risking her life or not, she will do it. Desperation overrides the virtues of the law abiding citizen when she's backed into a corner. Not to mention the fact that the chances of a botched abortion causing hydrocephalus is remote to say the least and that's not what caused that poor kid's condition. When I see bullshit propaganda against abortion that involves deformed babies from botched abortions, it only strengthens my convictions in support of keeping it legal and safe so shit like that doesn't happen. Nice try.

That can happen with a different condition called hydranencephaly. A baby with this condition may look like a baby with hydrocephalus, but a baby with hydrocephalus usually has an entirely normal brain; the fluid build-up is from faulty drainage. In hydranencephaly, the baby has little to no brain tissue, and where the brain should be is basically a bag of fluid-filled membranes. This condition can result from a "vascular accident" (disruption in blood flow) that causes the brain to die and be replaced with fluid. In babies with this condition, a strong light placed on one side of the baby's head will light the head up like a light bulb and be clearly visible through the head.
