Re: Extremely Thin Young Man With Major Malformations
If he was a dog he would be shown more respect and dignity in dying because a dog would be 'put to sleep!' Humans standing by day in and day out witnessing that kind of inhumane suffering...it makes me sick to my stomach. Gently give him morphine. Let him pass with dignity. Why do humans let humans suffer so despicabley. |

Re: Extremely Thin Young Man With Major Malformations
Could this be a case of SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy)?

Re: Extremely Thin Young Man With Major Malformations
Looks like he has hydrocephalus (water on the brain), & some severe generalized developmental delay. He probably has trouble swallowing which contributes to emaciation. I've cared for a lot of people in similar condition & usually they need a feeding tube for nutritional support. Most of them were mental infants, but some could talk a bit. I enjoyed caring for them, until they yanked their tubes out or tried fingerpainting with feces.
