I went thru a period in time about 10 years ago that we could consider my great depression. things got pretty dismal for me and I was suffering from a lot of internal, emotional pain.

I never really cut myself like this, I just couldn't do it. Its actually not that easy to cut yourself deep, takes a quite a bit of courage and/or stupidity. But I did engage in a small amount of self harm and I was driven to do it because of all 4 of those reasons. Also I am probably a bit of a romantic and a drama queen as well, so I think that skewed my view a bit too.

It was an extremely strange experience for me. I hope OP is doing ok and will escape her existential nightmare soon.
