Re: Extensive Self Harm.
How come she's not dead as a result of infection?? You see the way surgeons etc have to scrub up- I don't get how she's still alive. Her legs look disgusting but what's more disgusting is the seemingly absence of any mental help now or in her past.

Re: Extensive Self Harm.
I had a G.F used to cut herself also (not as bad as the girl from the pictures) but did attempt suicide because she was very depressed all the time due to traumatization since her step father had raped her for 4 of her teenage years. Its very hard for her to deal with that every day of her life and receives medication. ='(

Re: Extensive Self Harm.
This is the result of the closure of many of the psychiatric wards and institutions that were around several years ago. Now, disturbed people like this are left to fend for themselves, and obviously are incapable of doing so. Government budget-saving schemes have brought this type of stuff to mainstream society. Sad. In the UK its called "Care in the community"; as a result, there are some very disturbed and very dangerous people walking the streets, or in prisons, which is the last place they should be; putting a huge burden under an already massively over-burdened resource, where staff with no knowledge of mental health are expected to deal with these people. Disgusting and sad.

Re: Extensive Self Harm.
Not having any personal experience with cutting I can't say for sure, but somehow I get the feeling that most cutters have been doing it for so long that they know how far they can go without actually killing themselves.
