Re: Extensive Self Harm.
I actually give a reply and you call it trolling? Alrighty then... Sorry chick, in case you haven't noticed this is how I feel about the subject. If you care about these idiots so much, do like everyone else does and start a foundation for them to help with their horrible "disease". I'm sure you could at least get a couple bucks in donations. |

Re: Extensive Self Harm.
The one reason of which you don't know any cutters is because your 'stache hasn'nt grown yet. I don't wish to be over-stereotyping, but I can't shut up for a while now. If you have one, and I quote myself (1) source that says it's always females that do that, I'll bend over, take rapewhistles and Neph's cock in my mouth with a smile |

Re: Extensive Self Harm.
I don't know any 'cutters' because I don't seek out dumbasses to be friends with. And yeah, the first time I ever heard of this dumb shit it was a female, and even a search here on DR produces nothing but pics of females doing it. I think it's safe to say they account for the majority of this emo bullshit. You haven't been alive unless you know not one, but SEVERAL 'cutters'?? That's probably the funniest thing I've ever read here. I don't know what fucked up place you live, but out of everyone I've ever known in my life, none do that stupid shit. |

Re: Extensive Self Harm.
Self harmers aren't all angst riddled emo types, hellbent on self destruction, dragging blades down their arms while listeing to Nirvana. I'll concede that some might be, but for the most part, these people have suffered serious emotional trauma. I've personally met dozens of young people (mainly girls) with self harm issues. The girl I referenced in a prevous post was abused from an early age by her grandfather. She developed body dismorphia and self harmed so that nobody would be attracted to her again, in the hope that she would no longer suffer abuse. You try telling her to snap out of it or to stop "attention seeking"... I'm not professing to know how this girl came to self harm, but from actual professional experience of this subject, I can say with confidence that whatever is going on psychologically, it is far more than a grab for attention. Attention seeking might be smyptomatic in some cases, but the catalyst is usually something sinister. Flange.Out. |

Re: Extensive Self Harm.
I have seen a couple that were doing it for attention. They never wounded themselves beyond surface wounds though. Even then the thought of someone needing attention from others so badly that they would cut their own flesh is sad. Ive seen some use it as punishment. Still....barely scraped the surface. One should not be confused between the two. All types of self harm are derived from emotional overload. I honestly do not get the anger at someone that is obviously stuggling mentally and is not harming others. |
