One comment from reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/WTF/comments/1zkyup/cutting_20/ I dont think any doctor would stitch her up again and again, so I guess there are two possibilities: a) her doctor is as sick as her b) she wents from doctor to doctor, which means she got some money for paying the drive and the bill. But from where she gots the money? I don't know if she is an adult, but when she is, I dont think she would get a job witch how she looks. I guess its even hard to get a job with a tattoo or something, but with her badass scars any employer would kick her outta the office. |

Because they don't want to die. They are trying to get the bad feelings to go away. The feelings of grief/anger/loss/no hope/wanting to die. They're actually trying to live. Some may do this as a way to punish themselves.
