Evisceration (Eyeball)
The following pictures show the steps in the evisceration of a painful blind eye with recurrent corneal ulcer. The patient had central retinal vein occlusion and despite pan-photocoagulation developed rubeotic glaucoma. The painful eye was initially controlled with topical mydriatic and steroid. When they have to finally get rid of my right eyeball I'll make sure to have Doc make a movie. However, you all have to promise to type in big fonts so I can still read everything.  |
