^that's what I thought too!

My daughter got bit by a tick when she was 4.
The fucker was tough!
I had washed her hair and french braided it and I STILL didn't find it nor did it die

The next morning, my little girl couldn't walk properly! I thought she was playing a game of some kind, but it got worse, so I took her to the ER.
They told me she had inflamation of the brain due to a virus, and sent her home.
She continued to get worse, until she couldn't stand on her own, so I brought her back again and told them this was no virus, something was seriously wrong.
They started calling specialists and the head of the children's cancer ward, thinking "brain tumor".
I was terrified.
I reached back to stroke her hair and felt what seemed like a giant skin tag.
I saw this HUGE fucking tick attached to head, and started laughing from relief.
They removed the tick, and we stayed in the pediatric ward of the hospital for 3 days.
She had a rare allergic reaction called "tick paralysis">
they told me had I listened to the ER docs the first time around and waited, the paralysis would have caused her to stop breathing and she would have died in her sleep.

When she got back the ability to walk, she was acting up and being a handful. I told her, "You're pushing it, sweetheart" and she started pushing the table on wheels across the floor and responded, "Yeah, I pushing the table".

I knew she'd be fine then.

Mother's intuition is a powerful thing, I tell ya!
anyway, I FUCKING HATE TICKS!
