Sad thing is parents will bring a kid in who has this and without fail, despite them having documentation of the condition, some busy body has the social worker and child services on hand because they're convinced the kid was scalded. I'm amazed at #1, to live that long with it and have scarring (that we can see) on the trunk. |

Because when the skin is in a constant state of repair, the body has much higher nutritional needs; such as protein. Most of these kids/adults require tube feeding to keep from being malnourished. But sometimes it is not enough :(
