Re: English Man Found with Abdominal Bloating at the Roadside in Cambodia
Sad, my mom died of severe alcoholism at the age of 54. The age I am now! I’m not nearly ready to die. Anyway, she had ascities and liver disease and looked like him. It’s an ugly disease. The toxins also go to the brain because the liver is unable to filter them. She was like an Alzheimer’s patient. That part was unexpected and extremely difficult for me.

Ascites is liver failure, my friend died of this, jaundice comes along, this needs to be drained on a regular basis, because they body cant expel fluid and toxins, you will die, as the body is poisoned

That's pretty horrible. I'd wager he's on drugs or really ill ... I mean his face is sunk in and his arms are skinny. He was probably ill when he left UK and was hoping to live out the last of his days in a nice tropical climate where the foods, drugs and ladies are all inexpensive and delicious. |

My money's on cirrhosis due to alcoholism or hepatitis ; or liver cancer. They can drain the ascites to make him more comfortable & a few other things but it would be just palliative care at this point. He looks terminal.
