Re: Down Syndrome Children

I don't like down syndrome kids. Some people go on about how great they are and that "anyone who know them will love them" Bullshit. They are fucking annoying and more than just the average kid. Only thing worse is when they grow up. Damn that shit is creepy. Still traumatized from my childhood lunches at Burger King where cleaners, but only seemed to be stalking you.

Re: Down Syndrome Children

But someone tell me why they always have to be so fatties, specially in the neck-area??
I THINK it's because of many of them doesn't get the feeling when your stomach is full, like "normal" people do. Many parents don't know this and it's often too late when medical care is involved, but I know people with downs that aren't fat (although not skinne either)

Re: Down Syndrome Children

As any other human, people with down syndrome have all right to live. But I know myself, and if I were ever pregnant with a down syndrome child, I would have an abortion. Raising a child is difficult enough, and it takes all of your time and even more of your energy. With a down syndrome child, you'd have to double the amount of energy and time you'd have to spend with her/him. And so the upbringing of down syndrome children is extremely difficult, I know I wouldn't be able to handle it. Therefore, I'd abort it, because I know I wouldn't be able to give him/her the life they'd deserve.
And as much as it makes me really happy to see parents who are getting along with their child who has the syndrome, I do NOT accept any kind of glorification of the syndrome itself.
"Kids with down syndrome are so sweet, in some cases, they're even better than others without down syndrome"
I can't begin to tell you how many sentences like these that I have read. People need to understand that it's not something to be glorified, it's extremely hard to raise a child with downs. They're really immature/childish for whatever age they may be, and can also be really moody. And numerous families struggle with children who are born with downs. I just don't think that a SYNDROME is something to be glorified.
I'm sorry for the outlet, it's just generally what I've heard from people here in Norway. They tend to speak of children with down syndrome as if it's better having it, than being born without any syndrome or diseases.
